My postings have become fewer and fewer and my baby girl gets more and more active everyday. I have several craft projects started and not progressing but I'd much rather be spending time with Ivy anyway.
I have been able to knit a little during her naptimes, which are short but frequent throughout the day. I've knitted a new mug jacket during that time. I had another cup jacket, one that fit nicely over the cafeteria cups, but I ruined it by stretching it around my water bottle in an attempt to keep my water cooler longer and keep the bottle from sweating. It worked as an insulator, but requires me to knit a replacement that I can use on a mug that I can use around the office (when I go back....tear.)
I'm currently blocking the finished product (or for you non-knitters - I washed it and formed it to dry).
Mug jackets really do work. Let me know if you want me to take any orders. :-)

I love your mug jacket! So cute and cozy and totally useful. Did you use a pattern or make it yourself? Also, what about felting the stretched out one? But I love that it gave you an excuse to make another and share with us.
Got the pattern from my favorite knitting site, Ravelry - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mug-and-french-press-jacket. You can modify the jacket for a French Press also. I've never felted my knits before, but it's worth a try - Thanks!
I love the one with the button, Bess. Adorable! You may need to set up your own little on-line working mom pregnancy store for all these handy items you come up with both for the office and home! -Melissa
A non-knitter loves it, especially the button but will probably cut up an old sock or something for his own use, sorry ;-) Maybe Velcro(TM) also.
Also loving that it's so easy to go from wondering "Is there such a thing as a mug jacket" to looking at a design for one, and patterns.
Boss is a meanie, says no break for tea in the afternoon from now on, therefore I plan to save a tea from lunch time. And using soya milk for my digestion makes it harder work to wash up some serving ware satisfactorily.
I'm sorry to read about recent concerns about your wee lassie (and her wee habits), I hope things go well for you and her now.
